In this video we investigate Fluid Structure Analysis. We consider cavity filled with fluid and a thin plate that oscillates due to a temporally applied pressure.  In this simulation, there is one coupling step per time step. Within each coupling step, there are iterations called coupling iterations. Each coupling system transfers data between the fluid and structural solvers.

Moreover, To model the plate we use a transient structural simulation that uses the mechanical solver. This simulation will receive force data from the Fluent analysis at each coupling iteration. The name of this system is the structural system. To model the fluid in the cavity that surrounds the plate, we use a fluid flow simulation that uses the Fluent solver. This system will receive the displacement data from the structural analysis at each coupling iteration. The name of this is fluid. Therefore, for the coupled analysis, we use system coupling and both systems share the same geometry.
