Mesh Creation involving Removal of Gaps and Baffle Thickness
In this tutorial, we provide guidelines for Mesh Creation in ANSYS Fluent Meshing. First, we import a CAD file and then we use Fluent meshing workflow on it to generate a fluid surface mesh. Second, we generate volume mesh from this surface mesh. The purpose of this tutorial is to teach you advanced skills (such as modifying geometry issues) in using Fluent Meshing interface.
You will also learn how to do the following through this tutorial:
- Use Tessellation Refinement to importing CAD geometry
- Obtaining mid surface for baffles
- Capturing sharp angles by using “improve-feature-capture”
- Modifying geometry issues (Gap between two sections of the pipe, modeling baffles as zero thickness objects)
- Generating final surface mesh using shrink-wrap and sew
- Also, create volume mesh
