One of the most prevalent applications of fluid mechanics is Turbomachinery designing. The turbomachinery is the heart of the industry. Some of the turbomachines such as pump and compressor that have the duty of energy transfer to the fluid, do the transfer of fluid from one place to another place. Some of the other turbomachines have the responsibility of energy extraction from the fluid. Among these types of turbomachines (such as wind turbine and water turbines), the Francis turbine has an especially important and it is one of the most important of water turbines in the industry. The kind of this turbine is the reactional turbine, and the direction of flow in this turbine is radial and axial. Nowadays, the Francis turbine widely used for electricity generation, and it is one of the most prevalent water turbines in the industry.
In this project tried to investigate the fluid behavior when is passing in the turbine. One of the most important phenomena in this type of flows is the cavitation effect that occurs due to sudden pressure loss. In this project tried to investigate the mentioned phenomena.

In this analysis, it has been attempted to Cavitation simulation in Francis turbine by ANSYS Fluent, using ANSYS Fluent software.
