Wind turbines generally convert wind energy into electrical energy. Today, as energy and fossil fuels demands increase, the use of clean energy sources has become increasingly important. Wind energy is also one of the most important sources of renewable energy, which is free and unlimited.

In the vertical axis wind turbines, called VAWT, the main rotor is located vertically. The most important advantage of a vertical wind turbine is that there is no need to adjust the orientation of the wind direction, and it can also be used at low altitude. In wind turbines or vertical axis rotors, the axis of rotation is perpendicular to the ground and the blades rotate parallel to the ground. Because of this, the surface that is driven by the wind will have to move in the direction of the wind after half a turn and this will reduce their power factor. For this reason, the curve of the blade is important in these rotors. Wind turbines should be installed closer to the ground and at low altitude, the wind speed is lower, therefore less energy is produced than the specific size of the turbine. The airflow near the ground and other objects can create a turbulent flow that results in vibration, including noise and fatigue of the bearings. This leads to an increase in maintenance costs and a reduction in lifetime.
