Nano-fluid has many applications in industry. These kind of fluids are generally divided into two parts: heat transfer and mass transfer. In the heat transfer section, nanofluid is used in the cooling and heating industry, and also in the mass transfer section. Nanofluid is used in the medical and pharmaceutical systems in the way that, a high dose of drug can be sent to a specific place of body without damaging the tissue of the body.
The reason for choosing nanofluid in the heat transfer and mass transfer section is that the size of these materials is more suitable than conventional suspensions and has significant properties in terms of mass transfer, thermal conductivity and viscosity. They are also easier to prepare and have better viscosity.
A porous media is a material consisting of a solid network connected by spaces or empty openings between them. Empty spaces between solids allow fluid to flow in the network. In a porous ambient, the distribution of the pores in shape and size is irregular.
