Project Description

The circulatory artery system continuously flow into the capillaries almost without fluctuations. The circulatory system plays a role in the transmission of the substances. Due to the functioning of the circulatory system, food is needed to reach into the cells. On the other hand, oxygen is supplied by the cell and carbon dioxide is collected from the body. .

The circulatory system consists of three parts of the heart including arteries, veins, capillaries and blood. Blood is a non-Newtonian fluid with a density of 1050 kg/m3. It has been modeled as non-Newtonian fluid similar to the Carreau equation. Blood movement is intermittent and pulsatile. To simulate the motion of blood a UDF code has been generated for this problem.


In this project, pulmonary blood flow in the vessel has been analyzed by Ansys Fluent software.
