In this project, the simulation of flow in a cylindrical heat ex-changer with a spiral strip in the middle of the cylinder has been investigated to determine the heat transfer rate of the Al2O3 Nano-fluid. The purpose of creating a spiral strip is to increase the contact surface of the fluid, as well as to increase the turbulence of the fluid flow, which increases the amount of heat transfer.
In this analysis, we tried to simulate and analyze the Al2O3 Nano-fluid flow inside a single-pipe heat ex-changer with a spiral strip using ANSYS Fluent software.
