Piston and Reed Valve and Setting up a Dynamic Mesh Problem in ANSYS Fluent
In this section, Basic steps are introduced to properly define a dynamic mesh. In our case, in ANSYS Fluent we enable the dynamic mesh. Then we choose between smoothing, layering or remeshing in the dynamic mesh tab or we can choose more than once depending on what we need for our zone. In the current problem piston and reed valve, we should active all of them. In the dynamic mesh zone, we choose rigid body type for the valve and in the zone name fluid-move. We can use a UDF for the valve rigid body motion. We choose the stationary type and the int-layering zone name for other zones with dynamic mesh. These parts will be moved by rigid body motion.
