Volume Fill Methods for Filling Boundary Meshes with Volume Mesh Elements
In this tutorial, we provide guidelines for volume mesh generation using volume fill methods in ANSYS Fluent. We read mesh files into the Fluent Meshing software and start volume mesh generation. We use various methods such as creation of tet, hexcore, and prism layers for volume fill. The purpose of this tutorial is to learn how to use volume mesh elements for filling boundary meshes.
You will also learn how to do the following through this tutorial:
- Starting ANSYS Fluent in Meshing Mode
- Reading and displaying boundary mesh
- Generating tet meshes, tet meshes with prisms, and hexcore meshes
- Activate advanced prism options
- Checking and improving the quality of the volume mesh
- Define boundary condition types
- Also, go from Serial Meshing Mode to Parallel Solution Mode
