Mesh Morphing CFD Simulation Training Package, 5 Projects by ANSYS Fluent

This training package includes different CFD simulation projects using ANSYS Fluent software related to Mesh Morphing. MR-CFD suggests this package to those interested in RBF-Morph CFD analysis. This package introduces you to various project descriptions and designs and how to simulate them, considering a wide range of related studies numerically.

This package includes products related to design optimization. For shape optimization, we use three steps.

First, we do the conventional flow solution. We analyze the shape sensitivity in the second step with the adjoint solver. Finally, the geometrical transformation is done by solving the gradient-based optimizer. The method of changing the interior and boundary mesh is RBF Morphing and Polynomial.

The main task in performing the shape optimization process is to select a target output variable as an observable. This package includes several different study geometries and several observables.

For example, we have focused on maximizing the lift force and minimizing the drag force on different geometric models. For example, we considered a simple cylinder, a submarine and two different airfoils. We have also investigated the pressure drop inside the pipe and minimized the pressure drop.
